Cats and t-shirts: Circling back to childhood at (almost) age 65

I come from a long line of crazy cat women on my mother's side. My Great Aunt "OOfie" (Ruth) used to put bone china saucers of cream on the open windowsill of her Cape Cod cottage and call, "Maralade....here Marmalade". Marmalade being a huge orange stripy tabby that roamed Chipman Road.

My mother carried on the tradition; not with cream, but with McDonald's fish sandwiches. On road trips she and dad would serve Tony - the family cat - through the drive through. Maybe that's why his coat was always so glossy...

And now to me: I've had cats my entire life except for a few years in college. I did have an orange tabby (much smaller than Marmalade) my senior year when I moved off campus. Today, my wife and I have two cats in our upstairs duplex, and our niece, her husband, and baby have three cats downstairs. It's a lot of cats.

Felines have always been a favorite subject for my photography; in notecards, prints, tiles, stickers, and now in t-shirts!

I hope you enjoy Cat Talk as the line continues to grow.
